The misery of stranded travelers in airports worldwide could mean record profits for companies that swindle travelers at airports. Case in point, BBG Communications which has 350,000 pay phones in airports world wide. The company has a policy of not disclosing to consumers the outrageous amounts consumers get charged when they swipe a credit card to make a call at a BBG airport phone. Consumers over the years have reported one minute calls costing up to $50 at BBG phones. The scam has earned the company a F with the BBB
and a class action lawsuit by consumers demanding refunds, but that has not stopped the company from ripping off consumers at most major airports worldwide
The weather conditions that have closed airports worldwide means that stranded desperate travelers who use up their cell phones will be forced to use pay phones to contact their families. What travelers won’t know till it is too late is that they could be charged by BBG hundreds of dollars for short calls home . Sadly only a few airports warn travelers of the scam because many airports generate huge revenue from the BBG scam. To find out more watch our video exposing them and go to http://www.bbgovercharge.com to find out what consumers are saying

I am traveling from the USA to Italy and Verizon PROMISED me my GLOBAL phone would work in Italy, and it did not. I even called them 4 times before the trip to confirm. Sometimes things happen where you HAVE to use the pay phone. They charged me several times and I only made ONE short phone call. The charges amount to OVER $300. This is a scam. Once they had my card, they just kept charging. I had to cancel my card. What BS.
Tell that to travelers stranded for days is airports. So it’s ok to steal from people who for whatever reason got stuck using a pay phone ?
This is dumb. Who uses up their cell phone? Everyone has a charger for travel and I always charge in the hotel overnight. I can’t think of one instance where my battery went out from a days use. Especially when you can text. Even if my battery ran out…I would never use a payphone. Get with the times and avoid the germs. Carry an extra battery. There are so many ways that a person can avoid using payphones…unless they have a mullet and haven’t figured out modern times.
