Yes, the “sovereign citizen” movement may sound nutty, but the FBI calls them a domestic threat. Two years ago I uncovered the group filing phony deeds, stealing homes, claiming they could because they were sovereign. After tracking them for 2 months, as they seized properties, the ringleader who bragged to us that he was above the law was in shackles… Oh yes, he also was a documented gang member.
